Schulprojekt in Sambia
In 1998 we started with one school, today there are eight of them. These schools are located in the slums or poor compounds of the city of Kabwe. (see also background)
Mary G. Mkuyamba is the overall school Supervisor. Each of the schools has its own Teacher-in-Charge, all ten of whom are accountable to her.
The entire staff (teachers, cooks, watchmen, etc.) are Zambian citizens.
The total number of pupils has increased to nearly 4,000.
Upon completion of their Grade 9 examinations, BOCCS students as well as other interested teenagers are given an opportunity to take a one-year practical life skills course in Home Economics or Industrial Arts (carpentry and metalwork).
