John Mwape decided to become a teacher, because he wants to help achieve a better future for his country, by improving the basic education of children. He also believes, that the standard of living can only be raised through a good foundation in education.
Mr. Mwape was born in 1972 and works for BOCCS, because he feels called by God to do so, and because he wants to give the under-privileged children an opportunity to learn. As of January 2005, Mr. Mwape is the Teacher-in-Charge at Kabwe Main Learning Centre, responsible for Grades 5-9.
Mr. Mwape teaches all subjects, although Maths and Science fascinate him the most. He is frustrated by the fact, that the teaching profession does not receive much recognition amongst the general population, but he still likes to work with children. He is involved in Sports and is the patron of the school Maths club, in his extra-curricular activities. One of the main differences that Mr. Mwape sees between BOCCS and government schools, is that the BOCCS teachers receive lunch at school, something that he greatly appreciates.

Rodgers Mukaya was born in 1981. Since 2006 he is the Teacher-in-Charge of Kabwe Main Learning Centre, responsible for Grades 2-4. He likes the work with the pupils.
He is teaching English and History in the upper grades. Mr.Mukaya is also involved in sport activities, like football and basketball.
His statement about BOCCS:
" I think BOCCS is doing a lot to help the vulnerable children in the communities where the different Learning Centers are situated."
