Lillian Shaba was born in 1977 and has worked for BOCCS since 1999. After her training as a pre-school teacher, she joined BOCCS, because she wanted to train children to take responsibility for their own lives. After just one year, Ms. Shaba became Teacher-in-Charge at Katondo Learning Centre. She stepped down from this position in 2004, as she was heavily involved in the ZATEC distant learning course, which BOCCS offered to teachers alongside their teaching duties, in order to gain a primary school teaching certificate.
After successfully completing this course, Miss Shaba once again took over as Teacher-in-Charge at Katondo. She teaches English, Maths, Social Studies, Religious Education, Bemba, Home Economics, P.E. and Music, of which Home Economics is her favourite subject. She is an active and highly interested teacher, who enjoys learning about new things. As an extra-curricular activity, Ms. Shaba teaches the Anti-AIDS-Club.
