Teacher-in-charge

Nancy Lubasi (born in 1971) started to work for BOCCS in January 2001, after having completed her pre-school training and worked in private and government schools for eight years. After participating in a two-year distant learning course at BOCCS, which took place alongside her regular teaching duties, she managed to complete the course as a qualified primary school teacher.
As of January 2005, Mrs. Lubasi is the Teacher-in-Charge at Makululu Learning Centre. Her decision to become a teacher, is based on her love for children, and her wish to give them a solid foundation as future citizens. She joined BOCCS, because she wanted to give orphans and poor children an opportunity to learn.
Her favourite subjects are English, Maths and Science, which she teaches in addition to Social Studies, Religious Education, Home Economics, Arts and Music. Mrs. Lubasi tries to be attentive to her students, by listening to them and encouraging them. Her extra-curricular activities include her involvement in the Anti-AIDS-Club and leading the Girl Guides group.
