AIDS in Zambia

The rate of HIV infections is estimated about 25-30 percent of the Zambian population. Especially as a result of the increase of deaths due to AIDS, the average life expectancy in Zambia has gone down to 37 years.

Meanwhile, the average African family is barely able to integrate additional AIDS-orphans. Because of that, more and more children have to live on the streets without any perspective for the future.
